Jodie Hicks

Jodie Hicks is a consultant dietitian specialising in the field of bariatric surgery. She has extensive experience with diabetes, weight management, and dietary behavioural change. 

Jodie obtained her Bachelor degree in Health Science (nutrition major) with the University of Queensland. She then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Dietetics the following year. Jodie is a current accredited member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia. 

Jodie has specialised in bariatric and metabolic surgery since 2017, but has experience in both the acute care and outpatients setting, seeing patients for diabetes management, cardiac rehab and post operative diets. She also heads the dietetic weight loss service at East Sydney Private Hospital. She has presented research at both the 2019 and 2022 IFSO World Conferences and was fortunate to receive the IFSO APC scholarship to attend the conference in 2022.
